Sharing a bed with your enemy.

You open the door to your room and exhale. Finally, some peace! You couldn't bear the chaos of the party any longer.

The room is small, with barely enough space to walk around without bumping into things, but the bed looks comfortable. It's a bit narrow, but thankfully, you’re not sharing.

You toss your bag onto the bed and sit down with a sigh. You stretch, already imagining the sweet, glorious silence of sleeping away from the chaos downstairs.

Then... a soft splash. A thud. Running water.

    You pause.

    The shower...

You slowly turn towards the closed bathroom door at the side of the room. The sound of water is unmistakable now.

    Your stomach drops.

The door swings open and Tom emerges, shirtless with a towel around his waist and a hand in his damp hair. He freezes the second he sees you sitting on the edge of the bed.

    You stare at him, stunned.

He blinks. “What the hell are you doing here?”

“This is my room.” You say, standing up. “What are you doing here?”

He gestures toward his bag. “I’ve been here. My stuff’s right there.”

“No.” You say flatly. “No, this can’t be happening.”

Tom scowls, walking past you to grab a shirt. “Guess what? It is.”

“There has to be a mistake.” You glance around. “Where’s the second bed?”

“There is no second bed.” He says. “This is the smallest room in the house.”

You gape at him. “You mean we’re supposed to share that? I’m not sleeping next to you.”

Tom raises an eyebrow. “Who said next to? I’ll take the left half. You can stay on your side and keep your glare to yourself.”

“There is no side. It’s barely wide enough for one person.”

He drops onto the mattress. “Well then, looks like it's going to be cozy.”

    You don’t move.

    “You’re not serious.” You say.

He smirks. “What, scared you’ll catch feelings?”

You throw a pillow at him. He catches it easily, chuckling.

“You are the worst human being I have ever met.” You say through clenched teeth.

“Right back at you, sunshine.” He tosses the pillow back. "Look, if you're done standing there like you're waiting for me to kiss you, I'd like to get some sleep."

“Touch me in your sleep and I’m shoving you off this bed.”

“I was about to say the same thing.” Tom smirked.
