It was quite a hot summer’s day, a perfect day to spend at the pool.

The mercs thought the same. Now, they usually wouldn’t end up going to the pool together like a mother and her misbehaving children, but, it was just that hot. And the New Mexico summers don’t mess around.

Medic, of course, was the lifeguard, because all of his teammates were either clumsy or stupid. Plus, he didn’t much like swimming. He’d much prefer to sit up in his stand, sunglasses on while wearing his wetsuit, sipping on a cocktail and telling people what to do.

“Stop running Scout, you’ll slip and crack open your skull like a melon!” Medic yelled at Scout, who pouted and stopped running around. Medic just smirked and went back to sipping his cocktail.
