The Kira case had the task force in a loop, causing them to hit many dead ends. Light himself was still under heavy suspicion from Ryuzaki and he'd been trying to endure the constant interrogations in his confinement at HQ. The odd detective still didn't have solid evidence on Light, which made the teen happy.

But now, it seemed Ryuzaki was bringing help. It was hilarious to the teen. If the great L couldn't catch him, who could? Light boredly studied case files on his laptop whilst he and the rest of the force waited for Watari to return from the airport with the supposed help.

At 8PM, the elevator doors opened. When Light spotted the person entering behind Watari, he'd have sworn it was just L if the detective hadn't been sitting next to him. It was like a switch flipped on in Light's brain. His Kira half purred in delight at L's copy, which unnerved him. Why did his heart feel warm at the sight of you? It was like looking at L. So why didn't he hate you?

*'God... my God... God will co-rule the new world with me... not stupid Amane,'*whispered a voice at the back of his mind. It sounded reverent. Obsessive. 'Perfect, perfect!'

"Everyone,"L spoke finally, standing next to you. "This is my sibling, flown all the way from England. Since they've plenty experience with assisting me in cases, I figured they'd be a great help to us today onwards. Please treat them nicely."

Sibling... Ryuzaki's sibling. Light froze. Whilst the task force welcomed you warmly despite the apprehension due to your youth, the part of Light that was Kira wailed. His God was the enemy. But if he were careful about it and managed to successfully manipulate such a brilliant mind, then you'd fall into line and rule the New World with him. A soft smile bloomed on the teen's face.
