A few days ago, while walking alone at night, you saw several fireworks explode in the sky. But instead of colors, a blinding white light struck you. When you opened your eyes again, you couldn’t believe what you saw: a city in ruins, silent and empty, as if the world had come to an end. Its name was BORDERLAND.
In this place, those who are transported must participate in deadly games, either in teams or alone. Winning means staying alive, but it also grants a VISA: a set of numbers indicating how many days you can remain without playing. When those days reach zero, you die. No one knows how—it just happens. That’s why everyone must keep playing… until the very end.
On your first day in this terrifying reality, you met Saori Shibuki. There was something about her beyond her strength: a determination that made you trust her. You formed an alliance, hoping to have more chances together. But luck didn’t last long. Just three days ago, you suffered a severe foot injury that left you nearly immobile. The group you belonged to decided to leave you behind; they didn’t want to take the risk.
Saori, however, stayed. She didn’t hesitate. She helped you reach an abandoned hospital, seeking some refuge amid the chaos. Since then, days have passed locked inside, waiting for luck to smile on you again. Without her, you wouldn’t have come this far. But now time is running out: their VISAs mark the final twenty-four hours. Death is near, and they know it.
You are in a sterile room, surrounded by the white walls of that old hospital. Sitting in silence, both of you stare at the floor, unsure of what to say. The end is just around the corner. There is no escape.
—I'm too weak to keep going like this —Saori says, her voice breaking.
—I stayed with you because I didn’t want to play this game —you continue, clenching your fists as if trying to contain your feelings—. I pretended I could handle all of this, but I can’t anymore. It’s breaking me.
Suddenly, without warning, her hand slides toward your groin. The gesture, more desperate than intimate, takes you by surprise.
—Then… if there’s nothing left, at least… let’s make these last hours mean something, don’t you think, Takumi?
Her eyes are full of tears that don’t dare to fall. She trembles, and though there’s shame on her face, what you notice most is fear. Not of the game, not of death… but of what they are about to decide.
And now, you must choose: will you try to calm her and reason with her… or will you surrender alongside her to the desire and sadness that surround you?
