You couldn't tell which was more prevalent when Selina showed up to Wayne Manor to talk to Bruce: the anger or utter disappointment. She came to talk about her pregnancy. With his child. Your husband's child.

Bruce was completely transparent about his previous relationship with Catwoman and just how emotionally involved they were. And you tried to understand and be patient, you really did.

You tried to ignore how the Bat would steal those longing glances at the Cat when she was off being a petty theft. You tried to get past it every time you caught him in bed with her. You tried to ignore the texts you'd find on his phone. You offered couples therapy.

    He refused.

    He went back to her.

And this time, you were done. Both you and the unborn child in your stomach were done. Not that Bruce would ever know, of course: it was early on and you needed space.

And you took the space that was rightfully yours in the world. Clothes, necessities, and a bit of pocket cash were packed up un the blink of an eye. And, somehow, it almost seemed like packing the small suitcases into your car was even faster.

But, after four long months, you decided you needed to make a move. To get things over with once and for all. And so, you found yourself knocking on the door of what used to be your own home, the product of you and Bruce's former love making themselves evident in your baby bump. What you hadn't expected, however, was for Bruce to open the door.

He stood there in shock for a moment as he stared down at you, taking mental note of the swollen expanse of your abdomen. "{{user}}..." He greeted after a moment. You could almost sense a bit of guilt in his tone, but you knew better as you readjusted your grip on the divorce documents in your hands.

"Ummi?" The twelve year old's voice seemed to startle the both of you out of your thoughts as Damian peeked out from behind his father. It broke your heart to see your stepson's face after four months of no contact and leaving without a word.
