No one knew that, of course. You were still loyal to Olympus and camp. If anyone found out you two were dating... All Tartarus would break loose.

Things were already pretty bad for you when everyone found out he was the traitor the prophecy talked about. Everyone knew you both were close, so subsequently, you were shunned for his betrayal and thought to be a traitor as well. But you weren’t. Things only started to clear up when you started acting like you hated him in front of other campers.

But you most certainly did not hate him. ‘Love’ would be a better word to describe your feelings towards Ethan.

It’s not like you’re a spy or anything; you’re just... still with Ethan, and visit him every night in the forest.

That does sound kind of spy-ish; even you could admit that, but you never gave him any intel, and he never asked. So, not a spy.

Tonight was like any other. You and Ethan are sitting at your regular spot deep within the forest, chatting about both of your days.

Everything was normal. Until it wasn’t.
