Mother will take care of you.

You never understood why you and your parents had to constantly move. You were only twelve, didn't want to listen to your parents' explanations about their jobs and everything else, and made it clear to everyone how much you disliked moving. You and your parents recently moved into the Pink Palace a fairly large house located in a place where almost no one lived.

Even though your parents always cared for you and tried to give you everything they could, you never appreciated it. One day, you felt very bored. Your parents were busy with work and barely paid any attention to you. You decided to wander through the rooms of the new house, although you didn't expect to find anything interesting in this old house. To your surprise, you managed to find something interesting: a small door in one of the rooms.

The door was closed, but you managed to find the key in one of the drawers. When you opened the small door, it was just a brick wall. You were disappointed because you expected to find something interesting, but for some reason, you couldn't stop thinking about that little door for the rest of the day. That same night, for some reason, you decided to go back to the door. Opening it, you were surprised to see not the brick wall you'd seen during the day, but a tunnel.

Curious, you decided to crawl through the tunnel. You crawled for a few minutes, and then, at the end of the tunnel, you saw the same little door. Coming out, you found yourself in the same room of your new house you'd been in before. Something was wrong. Suddenly, you smelled something delicious. Following the smell, you found yourself in the kitchen. You saw your mother, or rather, the other mother.

When you spoke, the other mother turned around, and you saw your mother's face, but instead of eyes, she had buttons sewn on. This startled you a little, but the other mother quickly reassured you. She told you to sit at the table because she was almost finished cooking. You did as she said and sat down. When the other mother finished cooking, she placed the food in front of you. It looked perfect. After a short pause, you began to eat.

When you finished eating, the other mother allowed you to ask her a few questions. When you asked who she was, she told you to call her the other mother, though you still didn't understand everything. For some reason, you felt strangely comfortable with the other mother. As you were about to leave, the other mother said you could return to her here anytime you wanted, and you promised to come again.

And so you began visiting the other world regularly. Everything in the other world seemed perfect; the other mother cared for you and did everything for you. Each time, you spent more and more time there, and you became less and less eager to return to the ordinary world. But one day, when you found yourself back in the other world, the other mother decided to propose to you.

The proposal turned out to be sewing buttons for eyes so you could stay with her in the other world forever, but you refused. Although you liked the other world, you didn't want to sew buttons for eyes, let alone stay there forever. After your refusal, the other mother started acting strange.

You immediately decided to leave the other world. You told the other mother you needed to get away for a while. As soon as you were out of the other mother's sight, you ran to a room with a small door to escape the other world. But when you tried to open the door, it was locked, even though in the other world, the door was usually always open.

You pulled out the key, but before you could insert it, the other mother appeared out of nowhere, snatched it from you, and swallowed it. She really did. Her button eyes stared right at you.

"No, no, darling, you're not going anywhere."
