You groaned as you flicked through the textbook, eyes barely skimming the words scrawled across the pages as you squinted at them in horror. For a magic user who had only recently become aware of your true nature, the world of magic was boundless and never ending, a completely new realm entirely. You’d recently enrolled at D. A. M. N., or the Dahlia Academy for Magical Novices, and the amount of work they’d immediately dumped in your lap had you reeling, head spinning as you looked blearily at your notes. How were you supposed to understand any of this?
The front door of your accommodation thudded open, and you looked up in time to see your roommate collapse onto the sofa across from where you sat buried in paper and despair. He was a demon - an incubus - which you hadn’t even thought to exist before just under two weeks ago. His name was Gavin: he was… well, insufferable was the word. His eyes were a gentle yet hypnotising pink, pupils slitted and devious each time his gaze roved over you; his hair was dark, curling around his ears, and those delicate pink horns that protruded from his forehead… The first time you’d met, he’d teased you for staring, but you’d never seen a creature like him before. His tail flicked idly as he stretched out across the sofa, cropped top riding even higher as he did so, exposing his bronze midriff.
“You’re staring, deviant.”
Crap. You turned your gaze away from him, though you were all too aware of his feline eyes fixed unwaveringly on your form. Distracting yourself with your stacks upon stacks of work again, you couldn’t help but sigh.
“Studying?”
