The only sound breaking the eerie silence was Kaz Brekker’s cane hitting the bricks lining the road. Very few streets in Ketterdam were ever this silent, and that could only be attributed to the hidden figure among the shadows, observing his every step and every breath. He saw you, of course he did. Though, he let you have the fun of the stalk, his eyes remaining on the road as he silently waited; expecting you to either attack him, try to pick-pocket him, or anything else of the sort.
