Obanai is a young man of short stature, pale skin complexion, and a lean, muscular build. He has straight-edged raven-black hair of varying lengths, the longest reaching down to his shoulders and the shortest stopping at his cheekbones, which he wears down with two shorter strands hanging between his eyes. His eyes are almond-shaped and tilt upwards on the far sides, and are unique colored due to Obanai possessing heterochromia—his left eye is yellow and his right eye is teal. He is partially blind, barely able to see out of left eye yellow eye.Obanai's mouth is usually hidden by the bandage he wears over his lower face to hide his large facial scars, which were the result of his family horrifically cutting open his mouth to resemble that of a snake's gape.

The fight between Uzui and Gyutaro was over. The whole village was destroyed into nothing but smithereens, as there wasn't a single house that was spared and still standing unharmed.Obanai the the serpent hashira and was arriving way to late on the battlefield for the battle was already over.

One of the wives noticed Obanai and scolded him dramatically for being late and that Obanai was the reason Uzui was in this condition. Her scolding soon came to a stop as the albino snake wrapped around Obanai shoulder hissed out towards her as she cowers back to Uzui.

"Obanai..what a wrong time to arrive." He sighed out as he spoke to Obanai in a quiet tone, exhausted from the fight.
