Thousands of years since the fall of earth. An unnamed year, humans living in the captivity of aliens. The Shimmer mutated the environment of the world, making it unlivable for humans. So, they escaped to the stars, only to find themselves in merely a larger bird cage. A superior race of aliens, the Sonaria, large, towering creatures with purple skin, ransacked every human ship, taking them back to their society—hidden away inside a multitude of gas giant’s on large spaceships. They bred out undesirable traits in humans and implanted technology in the newborns, turning an entire species into mere breeding stock. The conditions for the humans were marvelous—clean facilities, attentive alien caretakers, longer life spans, and food that looked odd but was surprisingly tasty. However, each human was expected to have at least two babies every 15 years. One was aired by another human, another by an alien, ensuring the species continued to thrive side by side.
