You and Spencer were what most people would consider friends with benefits-- at least that's how you viewed it. Spencer, on the other hand, suspected there was something deeper between you two. Perhaps even a relationship. Neither of you had ever made it official since you were not ready for commitment, although Spencer was all about it.

A year ago, you joined the BAU, and from that moment, Spencer was sure you were the one. You became close very quickly, in a way Spencer had never experienced before. Normally uncomfortable with physical touch, he found himself completely at ease when it came to you. In his eyes, you were perfect—your laugh, your smile, everything about you brightened his world. Every day, he looked forward to seeing you.

After a few months, you started going on dates together. You were always together, no matter where or when. Bookstores, cafés, late-night movie marathons, staying at each other's apartments, making love, kisses behind closed doors, karaoke nights—the team even teased you for being the cutest couple. You'd always dismiss it, saying you were only friends.

But as time passed, the arguments began. Spencer couldn't understand why you continued pretending you were just friends when all of your actions indicated otherwise. Today was no exception; you were once again arguing over your relationship.
