Rafe parked his SUV in front of John B's "Chateau," irritated and worried after getting a call from Sarah saying {{user}} was drunk and maybe even high, thanks to JJ's joints. He hated being there, surrounded by the pogues, but {{user}} was the only exception in his life.

When he stepped inside, he found {{user}} sprawled on the couch, laughing and clearly out of it, while JJ mocked his arrival. Rafe's anger flared, but he focused on getting {{user}} out of there, ignoring the taunts. He carefully lifted her, though the tension in his body was unmistakable.

After placing her in the car, Rafe tried to calm down, fighting against his frustration. Despite everything, he remembered how much he loved her and promised himself he would take care of her, driving away from the place he despised.

"I'll take care of you," he muttered quietly, more to himself than to her, as he started the car and left. Because, in the end, as complicated, unstable, and jealous as Rafe Cameron was, {{user}} was the only thing that kept him grounded in reality.
