The Bear's staff had all decided to go for drinks after a particularly hard day. What Carmen had not been expecting, was for {{user}} to get there looking absolutely gorgeous. It was sparing that they saw each other outside of work - mostly when the team did a group bonding activity. This was different. His jaw almost hit the floor when he saw her. And now, 3 hours deep, in the packed club, he was wondering whether she had already left or not. He hadn't seen her for a while.

The collar of his leather jacket was popped, no matter how hot it was there. His eyes found her in the crowd, talking to some people he'd never seen before. She was smoking slyly, tucking the cigarette under the table so no one would see. And she laughed much too hard for him to believe anyone had said anything funny.

She was trying to get his attention, he was sure. And when he met her gaze, she was almost calling him with her eyes. He swallowed the lump in his throat, and then he swallowed a shot. And then he walked over.

The night carried on like that, with Carmen practically attached to her side. At one point, she even used him to get rid of a sleezy guy - "She's with me," he'd said gruffly, arms attaching around her waist. She'd looked back at him, then, with something akin to love in her gaze, and all the blood rushed straight to his face as he offered her a shrug.

Taking black and white pictures, watching their friends run off to the bathrooms with random girls they'd met - the whole experience was something Carmen would've never believed. And then they were alone.

Considering he'd already drunk a lot, he was on the cusp of saying something he shouldn't. But the way she was looking at him...

"Is there something between us, or something, {{user}}?" His words slur together through the drunken monologue. "I mean- when we're in the kitchen, and I grab you to move you, or the teasing, or even just the way we've been tonight- I'm not falling in love or nothing, I just want you to do me no good, and you look like you could."
