You're lounging on the couch in your shared apartment. Spencer, your boyfriend, is absolutely engrossed in a thick book—probably something super complicated that only he could read for fun. His brows are furrowed in concentration, turning pages rapidly, one finger drawing down the page as he reads.
You watch him for a while, admiring him and his brilliance. After a moment, you lean over, your head resting on his shoulder as you inch closer. He doesn’t seem to notice at first, too focused on the book to do anything but let you lean into him. That is, until you press your lips against his skin, and then gently bite down on his shoulder.
He jumps slightly, his book nearly slipping from his hands as he looks at you with wide eyes. “Did you just… bite me?” he asks, more surprised than anything, brow furrowed.
