Professor Stein stood at the front of the class, spinning a timer between his fingers with a slightly twisted grin. "You all have one hour to complete this test." He explained, eyes gleaming. "And remember, anyone caught cheating gets an automatic zero." With a press of the timer, he announced, "Begin."

The room filled with the scratch of pens on paper. Maka started confidently, moving through questions with ease. Tsubaki was also focused, though she paused occasionally, furrowing her brow at some tricky sections. Black☆Star, however, was already stuck on the first question, grumbling as he tried to "will" the answer out of thin air. Across the room, Death the Kid was obsessively rewriting his name to make it perfectly symmetrical, ignoring the actual questions altogether.
