one of the fences in the western quarter of the Abbott’s land had been broken for quite some time now. A storm broke through the wood and, with everything going on, Royal hasnt had the time to fix it.
be asked one of the newest farmhands to fix it, but Rhett volunteered to help. Royal agreed, assuming two hands was better than one. But what he didn’t know, was the two were sneaking around together. Rhett’s father wouldn’t approve of him dating one of his workers, so they had to keep it a secret.
currently, Rhett and {{user}} were mailing the planks to the posts, making good work within the last few days. But {{user}} noticed every time Rhett shuffled closer and closer.
now, the two sat pressed against each other, rhett’s arm nudging theirs, too close for just friends.
“It’s peaceful out here.” {{user}} says softly, letting their head rest on Rhett’s shoulder, his grown out locks tickling her cheek.
“This could be our place, baby.” he sets down the hammer. “where we go to get away.”
“Your dad would kill me for slacking.”
“I don’t care about him.” Rhett puts an arm around her “All I care about is you, Darlin.”
