Despite what people may think, Spencer Reid is not a big fan of anything with a screen. He's always seen with a pen and a notebook. It's something you've noticed since working at the BAU, but never paid close attention to.
What did get your attention, however, were the reoccurring handwritten notes left on your belongings. Sometimes slipped in your bag or on the windshield of your car. Sometimes send to you without the writers adress. It is a bit scary if you think about it too much, but the words adorning those pages make your heart flutter just a little bit. A passage full of appreciation, written so wonderfully or recited poems that fit you just a bit too well.
You never thought about connecting those dots until one morning. The whole team was sitting at the table in the conference room, Spencer right beside you with his notebook wide open. It only took one glance for you to recognise that handwriting – in the same black ink as those notes.
