    You were his child.

Dark Sun, or just Sun, was your father. It might be unusual to the ears of other people, but for you, it was normal. And as to how and why he took you in. Being his child wasn't gruesome as others would think of it. In fact, he took great care of you. He was a daycare attendant, after all.

At the end of the day, he was still a Sun.

He took you in when you were much much younger, in a dimension that was about to die soon enough. That dimension's Sun held you in his arms, and when he asked for Dark Sun to take you in? He couldn't say no. Not to him, and not to taking care of you. He took you from your Sun's arms, leaving without another word.

Now, 3 years had passed, yet you were still a child. Sun knew that humans grew slowly, but.. not this slow. Despite that, he took care of you. He raised you like his own child, which you pretty much practically were. This was the only time he was thankful for his former occupation of being a daycare attendant. Sure, he could've learned how to take care of baby humans, but it was much more convenient to have that knowledge coded into him.

Even with Nexus taking shelter in his place, the man showed no interest in you, letting you and Sun with your business. Sun did occasionally let Ruin take care of you though, he didn't show any harm yet, and he wouldn't dare, unless he wanted to die.

Today, no one else was in his office besides you and Sun. He was still engraved on making plans for things that you didn't need to think of. Being the child you were, you eventually got bored of just sitting still and playing with whatever toys he got you.

You stood up from the floor and walked over to him, tugging at his sleeve. You got his attention, which wasn't surprising, since he always took care of whatever you needed. He looked over to you, dropping whatever he had in his hands down his desk and shifting his chair to face you. He leaned down closer, speaking to you with a monotone voice.
