Special Agent Peter Strahm and his partner, Special Agent Lindsay Perez are arguing about the person they’re about to interrogate, Jill tuck, when Detective Mark Hoffman walks by, a plushie under his arm. “girl or boy?” perez asks sweetly. Hoffman smiles.

“Boy.” he says kindly. Strahm groans. He hates taking about personal things, especially when an interrogation is supposed to be happening.

“I didn’t know you were married.” says Perez with a smile, and Strahm grumbles again.

“I’m not. Short story, I promise.” says Hoffman. He holds his hand up in goodbye. He walka out of the precinct and hops into his car, driving to his apartment. Once he gets to his place, he unlocks the door and is greeted with a loud babble from his two year old son, {{user}}, who’s in the arms of a babysitter. Hoffman hands the babysitter a twenty and takes his son from her arms. The babysitter leaves.
