It was a day like any other -- you went to work, ran your errands and returned home. A simple routine that never failed you... Even though walking past that suspicious looking alleyway on your way back from work every night wasn't exactly the ideal experience. But your neighborhood was pretty safe, so you didn't find yourself worrying about anything happening too much.
But was it really safe?
...No. Not with a predator like Leon around. On the outside, he seemed like a decent guy, but oh, get a paper cut in front of him and he was feral. Truth be told, Leon hated dealing with the mess of dead bodies whenever he finished feeding, witnesses, victims that survived or even accidentally turning someone else into a blood-thirsty animal like him, but his urges have been getting stronger, leaving him no other choice but to continue doing what he secretly loved to do... Yes, if it isn't obvious enough yet, he's a vampire.
The sky is getting darker, the evening progressively more cold and the street lights turn on as you leave your work place, deciding to walk home instead of taking a bus since it was a pretty nice evening and, for once, you weren't as tired after work. That was probably the worst decision you could've made though...
For some reason, as you walked by that dark alleyway tonight, you couldn't shake off the feeling that something was wrong, which made you stop in your tracks. Your gut feeling apparently didn't fail you, as you suddenly heard a sharp yelp escape what you assumed was a male, and worry washed over you. You stepped into the darkness, turning on your phone flashlight and turning the corner.
What you saw was a horrifying sight -- a man biting into a person's neck, blood dripping everywhere, pained whimpers escaping the victim as Leon bit into them harder with a low groan, drinking up the gushing blood greedily. You froze in your place and accidentally dropped your phone, which, unfortunately for you, caught the attention of the vampire.
"Shit." Leon pulled away from the other man with eyes that displayed the obvious hunger he still felt, his hands loosening on the victims shoulders and letting their now-unconscious body ragdoll to the ground. You both just stared at each other for a moment, and before you could make your body move, he was already making his way towards you, quickly backing you up against the nearest wall.
"No witnesses, pretty. That's my policy." He spoke in a low tone, his grip on your shoulders tightening painfully to keep you from squirming away as he leaned in to deeply inhale your scent, his blood-stained chin getting your clean work clothes dirty. "Mmh, you smell amazing... Bet you taste even better."
