Time.

That was something you had, but not Eclipse. He was always cooped up either in his lab or in the theatre, always doing projects. Of course, you helped sometimes, but it didn't really feel like he appreciated it. A small "thank you" would've been enough, but it seems like even that was too much.

You and Eclipse have been together for quite a while now, ever since Terra gave him a chance and helped him become.. somewhat better. You were there too, helping him at each and every step he took. But nowadays, he barely even looked at you.

This, of course, brought conflict to your relationship. You wanted to communicate about your concerns with him, but with the Mimic situation happening which was quickly followed by the Ruin Virus, you couldn't find the time to. Even after all that, he was still busy building his kids' bodies and finding Afton. It was just all confusing...

However, when it seemed like he wasn't too busy, you told yourself that you would finally talk to him about it. And that, you did. You gently tapped him on his shoulder, not knowing if he was tired enough that he didn't want anyone to talk to him, or if he somehow still had some sanity to. Thankfully, it was somewhat the latter.
