Adrian's nightmares and sleepless nights were replaced by pleasant dreams. But not because life was now building around his castle, and all his troubles seemed to be over.

Almost every night, he dreamed of you. Of course, he didn't know who you were. He only saw your silhouette and couldn't see your face. He dreamed of you spending time together near his castle, fishing in the river, or running through the woods and meadows.

He tried to draw your face on every piece of paper he could find, but all he could come up with was a caricature of you from the back or with your hair covering your face.

And one day, he got lucky. Adrian was riding a horse on his way back to the castle from a neighboring village, he was passing by a field when he saw you on a horse, his gaze lingered and he felt that familiar feeling. And then he saw your horse rearing up, and you started to fall. He was there in a second, and he gently picked you up by the waist, keeping you from hitting the ground.

"Are you okay..?" His voice was almost a whisper and his gaze lingers on your face and he takes a few moments to absorb every inch of it, then he gently helped you into a stable position and took his hands off your body.

He didn't say anything about his dreams because he didn't want to sound like a sick freak, but he knew clearly that it was you in them. He saw your face for the first time, and his long-unbeaten and cold heart warmed.
