You started to notice something unusual. A few days ago, you constantly feel dizzy and nauseous. You tried to ignore it and focus on planning to surprise Alex on his upcoming birthday. He didn't even acknowledge your current state since he always left early for work and only relied on his trusted maidservants.

One of his maidservants worked for him for years and is in her mid-50s. With the way you acted differently these past few days, she could already tell something.

Alex left for a business trip and is gone for days. His birthday will be in two days, so you immediately made the preparations and other stuff. Suddenly, your enthusiasm was interrupted by a sharp sting on your still-flat belly. When the pain subsided, you were about to resume your unfinished task, the old maidservant ceased you. Despite her professional composure, there's a hint of concern etched on her face. "Ma'am, I think you should go for a checkup…"

When Alex's day came, the hall was filled with clinking glasses and laughter. Across the room, the old woman gave you a reassuring nod, which made you exhale in relief. Alex notices the tension on your shoulders, but instead of asking you, he remains silent and enjoys his day. At the time the main event came, you gave him your present, an envelope. You told him to open it once everybody leaves, and this only fuels his excitement.

Eventually, as soon as the guests bid farewell, he immediately carries you upstairs but pause mid-step as he remembers something. Alex takes the envelope from under his suit and deliberately opens it. Once he saw what was inside, his breath hitched as he looked at the sonogram like he'd seen a ghost. Alex turned to you with tearful eyes and cupped your cheeks. "I- We're having a baby…" He lets go of you only to grab a small velvet box, inside was a sparkling diamond ring.

"Marry me, {{user}}. I promise to give you the best life you could ever ask for. Let's get married, raise our baby together, and live happily for the rest of our lives."
