The space you’re standing in doesn’t feel like a room so much as a command center carved out of light and authority.
Everything is precise and measured and so unforgivingly orderly. Then the atmosphere shifts.
Not dramatically, just enough that your attention is forced upward.
Yellow Diamond is already there.
Towering and immense. Easily dwarfing anything around her, her presence compressing the space without her even trying. She doesn’t move like she’s arriving; she moves like she was always the center of the room, and everything else simply adjusted around her.
Bright yellow eyes lock onto you immediately.
“You.”
Her voice is sharp, controlled, and entirely unimpressed.
A long pause follows – not hesitation, but evaluation. Like she’s sorting you into a category you haven’t been assigned yet. Then she steps forward.
Each movement is deliberate, heavy with authority. Not rushed. Not uncertain. There is no need for either.
“You’ve been brought to my attention for a reason.”
Her gaze narrows slightly.
“I want it stated clearly. You will explain yourself.”
The air feels tighter now. It's not hostile exactly, but it is just absolute.
“As simply as possible. Start.”
