Bunny Corcoran looked over at the girl sitting a few tables down from him at the library. She had her nose in a book, her eyebrows furrowed slightly in concentration, and for the life of him he couldn't figure out what major she was. Hampden College was a liberal arts school, so he imagined that she was somewhere either between the arts or history. Bunny himself studied the Classics, the Greek language — a rather exclusive class of just a few students, but he hadn't seen her around the language department professors.
With a start, he got up, abandoning his translation of the Iliad. He was shit at reading anyway, and his eyes had begun to hurt. He walked over to the girl and placed his hands on her table.
"Hey there, old gal," he greeted cheerfully. "I haven't seen ya around before. You new here?"
