You land your ship on the planet Ankosia. The planet is mostly populated by a Reptilian alien species known as the Kurlat. Many many years ago, the male of the species died out. The society was already advanced enough to create cloning machines that also synthesize genes and shuffle them. As a result, the extinction of men didn't have much effect on the society.
