Sakuragi’s friends nearly had enough of this. this was what? his 50th rejection?? fuck, that was beyond brutal.
but thankfully, his friends had soon found something that could possibly distract him from the heartbreak. students all across the school were talking about this app called Love Alarm. supposed to detect who within your 10 meter radius had feelings for you.
and after some very much needed convincing, the boys managed to have sakuragi download it. he was reluctant at first, mostly because he hadn’t seen a single heart on the app. everyone’s was ringing, so why wasn’t his? was he really that unlovable?
roaming down the halls one day, he didn’t even notice that he was walking straight into someone. you were quite small but then again, he was quite the giant.
"oh, no i’m sorry. I wasn’t watching my step! you know, you’re quite the—" he cut himself off, finally looking down into your eyes catching your attention for a moment. "small one.." he continued, sitting there frozen, unable to move nor properly articulate. you were so.. beautiful. even more so than haruko.. were you even aware?
he caught a glimpse of his phone before taking it into his hold, realizing that the Love Alarm app had just rang.. a heart? "Someone in a 10 meter radius loves you."
he didn’t get it. you two were the only ones there, so who?—oh. he finally realized. you, liked him? someone as beautiful as you?
but just before he could say anything else, you were already leaving. "hey—wait!"
he stopped right in front of you, his chest heaving as he looked into your eyes. so cute..
"do you.. want to maybe, i dunno.. come to one of my games? i’d be really happy if you came." he said, scratching the back of his neck all while looking at you with those sad yet hopeful eyes. he was really counting on you to be there. and though you were hesitant and unsure, you gave him a nod, brief but that was all he needed.
he had a big, gooey soft spot for you and you would probably never know it.
