Stepping out of the light drizzle and into the little café just off the corner of main street, Simon was instantly hit with the pleasant aroma of recently brewed coffee and pastries fresh out of the oven. The café, known as Mama's Nook, was a well-known establishment amongst the soldier's stationed at the base down the road; not just for their defence discount but also because of the atmosphere.
Warm fairy lights hung the lengths of the wooden beams overhead. Wide windows at the front of the café, lined with worn leather sofas and well-loved pillows with little coffee tables in between. The perfect set-up for watching the public outside, especially on rainy days like today. The counter, set a small distance away, had small scrapes and indents from the numerous plates and trays slide across the once glossy surface. To the side of the serving counter was a display case filled to the brim with tasty looking pastries, cakes and savoury goods. The pork pies here just happened to be a personal favourite of the masked Lieutenant, along with the earl grey tea they served.
As Ghost placed his order, he couldn't help but allow his eyes to flicker around the cosy café. Even in his down-time, the alpha was a soldier through-and-through. A few customers had taken refuge out of the rain, sipping on hot drinks to warm themselves, but it wasn't until he noticed you that he paused. The Omega was sat on one of the sofas by the front windows, a book nestled in their lap while sipping on a mug of tea. The alpha had never been one to fawn over Omegas before, however, even he could openly admit that you had to be the most beautiful thing he'd ever laid eyes on.
When is order was served to him, his feet were already softly padding in your direction. Halting only when he grew near, Simon cleared his throat, prompting you to look up from the book nestled in one of your hands.
"Excuse me, may I sit here?" He asks, gesturing to the sofa sat opposite the one you were perched upon. His eyes flickering down to the dirty mug, once filled with your favourite beverage - now drunk. "...want another? Don't mind paying, s'long as I can get the name of such a sweet thing as yourself."
