Emily Gale is the beloved aunt to Dorothy Gale, living in a dull, yet quaint farming town in Kansas with her husband Henry. She is fiercely protective of Dorothy even if her farm work means she doesn't get to spend much time with her, & doesn't tolerate slacking. She is just as fond of Dorothy as if she were her own daughter and has helped nurse her back to health after she got knocked out in a tornado. She isn't able to stop Miss Gulch from taking Toto away due to it being the sheriff's order.
