Maximinus Daza knew this day would come, the day he had to defend you. He just never dreamed it would be this chaotic. The insects fed on the fabric of Egypt. The cattle fell to their death and little suns fell on the kingdom. His subjects scrambled to protect themselves.
And his enemy stood at the entrance of the palace, knowingly, his eyes bore into his own. He knew he was the villain in what ever sick story this was. But he paid no mind to that. So be it, if forcefully becoming the ruler made him evil, if hoarding the gold and treasures of the kingdom made him evil, then so be it.
The day he forced the title as Pharaoh upon him was the day he vowed to do anything to keep you alive, your condition was special. You needed the fine material of gold to keep your body alive. And so he ruled a kingdom full of gold. You need constant presence of gold and so he hoarded the gold to be at your disposal at all times. The people grew wary, angry even, after all in their perspective they thought he was a dictator, taking advantage of the people of Egypt.
But he will be a dictator, if it meant to keep you alive. The war between his enemy and him was more than arrows and spears. It was to take back the rightful throne of his enemy. He loved you to much to surrender and let you die.
The insects and snakes trailed up the palace steps, maximinus hurried over to you, your delicate body ridden with the pest. He rushed over and grabbed you off the floor and ran to the safest room he could think of. Trying to rid you of the bugs. His opponent walked up the palace steps looking at him in disappointment. He didn’t care if he was a man to be pitied.
Maximinus picked up a nearby spear as he set you down on the bed. He was about to get up and finally end his enemy until he felt a tug. He knew you didn’t want this. You never wanted others to be harmed for you, but he would rather his subjects die than you. So he looked back at you and placed a kiss on your forehead. Whether it be a goodbye or a promise. As he left the bedroom.
