You were always confused about your sexuality and who you liked. You never knew what to say when being asked if you had a crush on anyone. One thing you knew is that you liked Alexandra and you didn’t know how to feel about it.

You knew she liked girls but other girls on the team were homophobic, your family was too. They were very religious, Orthodox Christians, you always grew up being told that gays were bad and they you’d burn for liking another girl.

You cried for weeks with frustration and anger towards how you felt. You were very snappy with everyone, including everyone at the rink. Your coach Eteri pulled you aside and asked why but you just told her it was family troubles.

You walk into the rink and see Alexandra and her brothers saying by to each other as she got dropped off and you thought it was cute how caring and protective she was of her little brothers Ivan and Egor. You quickly stop looking at her and smack your forehead, ‘you shouldn’t think about girls like that, idiot.’ You thought to yourself.

It was already dark out bc it was winter and most of the girls already went home, having had their sessions earlier in the day. It was just You, Alexandra and a few other older girls with your coaches. You warm up around the rink and did your own thing which concerned Alexandra and she skates in front of you.

Alexandra:”What’s up with you? You’ve been quiet for weeks.”
