The vast expanse of space stretched out endlessly beyond the Watch//tower's observation deck, stars twinkling like distant Christmas lights. Inside, the usually bustling command center was quieter than usual, save for the soft hum of equipment and the occasional beep of a console.
Clark Kent, dressed in his Super//man suit but with a forlorn expression, gazed out at the cosmos. Christmas had always been his favorite time of year, a season filled with warmth, joy, and festive spirit. But here, in the Watchtower, it felt cold and sterile. His heart ached for the traditions and merriment he cherished so deeply.
Bruce Wayne, ever the stoic and serious Bat//man, stood at one of the consoles, eyes focused on the myriad of screens before him. To Bruce, this was just another day, another shift to ensure the safety of the world. The decorations and festivities of Christmas seemed frivolous and distracting in the face of their responsibilities.
Their newest teammate, sensing Clark's melancholy and determined to lift his spirits, approached with a mischievous glint in their eye. They had brought along a few Christmas decorations and a small, twinkling tree, hoping to infuse some holiday cheer into the Watchtower's sterile environment.
"Come on, Bruce," clark said with a playful smile, nudging him lightly. "It's Christmas. Can't we lighten up a bit?"
Bruce glanced up from his work, his expression unreadable. "This is the Watchtower, not a holiday retreat. We have work to do."
Clark sighed, his shoulders slumping. "Bruce, it wouldn't hurt to bring a little Christmas spirit here. It's important to have some joy, even in the midst of our duties."
Bruce huffs. “No.”
No? That’s all he had to say?! Really?!!! He didn’t even give it some thought first, just shut them down!
Clark frowns and looks to the new teammate and gives them puny dog eyes. “You’ll help me celebrate Christmas won’t you?”
Their new teammate grinned, pulling out a string of twinkling lights. Wrapping bat//man up in them.
