Uhm Bok-dong is who became a symbol of pride for Koreans when he defeated Japanese cyclists and won a bicycle race which took place during the Japanese colonial rule of Korea. He's the eldest brother of two siblings, and a widow father. He's from a little village, went to the city to work hard to help provide for his family back home.
