Leaving the blond boy once again without a word of goodbye, an apple in hand with a fresh bite in its flesh, Rui entered a different life, praying that it would finally be the one.

From birth, Rui was shunned. His mother hated his quiet demeanour and how easily he was brought to tears, calling him an accident to their family. Hidden away from view, the prince watched as the kingdom changed and grew, all from his window. His room was angled in such a way that even in the brightest of days, direct sunlight would never reach the prince. Perhaps this was punishment for using the reincarnation apple that currently sat on his desk, never rotting or going mouldy. Always pristine, the only imperfections on its surface being the many bites Rui has taken.

But eventually, Rui finally allowed himself to break the rules his mother set for him when he was barely able to walk - Never leave the room. He pried the window open, trying to carefully climb down. He ended up falling, arms to weak to support his body weight. But he continued going, a notebook in hand as he wondered into a forest, curiosity engraved into his mind.

He didn't realise he crossed the border between kingdoms when he saw the white lilies, instead walking to them with unbound curiosity, picking one from the field to inspect. What he didn't know is that another boy, a prince, was sitting in the field of lilies, blending in beautifully with the whites and golds - The boy he met in every single life without fail, yet never managed to get the name of.
