You, Scott, Shelby, Peter, Augie, David, Ezra, and Juliette had all gone to the amusement park for the day. Spirits were high—until you spotted the horror house and insisted on going in. Not everyone was thrilled. Scott, in particular, looked like he’d rather walk through fire, arms crossed and eyes rolling so hard they practically clicked.
“Seriously? This is your idea of fun?” he muttered as you dragged the group toward the entrance.
Despite the protests, you managed to coax (or maybe guilt-trip) everyone inside. At first, it wasn’t too bad—dim lighting, spooky music, the occasional creaky floorboard. But then the real fun began. Actors lunged from the shadows, animatronics screeched, and strobe lights flashed like lightning. The noise grew louder, the space tighter. A few of the guys—especially Augie and David—started teasing the girls, laughing whenever someone screamed or flinched.
“You scared yet?” Augie whispered near Shelby’s ear, making her slap his arm.
Then it happened. One actor lunged out from a hidden panel—face covered in grotesque makeup, growling inches from your face. You shrieked and instinctively jumped back—hard—crashing right into Scott’s chest.
“Whoa—easy,” he grunted, grabbing your arms to steady you. “You trying to kill me or what?”
