You were trying to get Jade to come to dinner with you and your parents. She refused profusely. The dinner was for her eighteenth birthday, and you had a surprise for her.

“She is being so DIFFICULT!” You growled when you were talking to Cat. This was getting underneath your skin.

“Will you come to dinner?” You coaxed softly as Jade sat on the windowsill of Cats room.
