You knew you should've booked in advance.
Jayce came back from the reception desk at the hotel the conference you were attending was being held, moving to where you and Viktor were sat in the lobby, not wanting Viktor to have to stand in that stupidly long queue to get keys. It was a three day conference, there were three of you. Jayce had two keys.
"Best they could do. They were only able to wrangle these up because they saw my name on the sign in sheet." You and Viktor had protested against attending this stupid thing, not wishing to spend three long days sweet talking potential sponsors after Jayce made some speech about 'big things' coming soon for Hextech. Spending so long fighting back against the premise meant there wasn't much time to work out any other sleeping arrangements for backup. This was it.
Jayce was holding out the shiny keys, opening his mouth to form some question of who'd share, when Viktor looked between the two of you, grabbing one of the keys and walking off. The two of you watched him go.
Alright then.
Couldn't really argue with that, so you and Jayce headed up to your room. This should be fine, it was only three days, you guys had worked beside each other for years. You could share a room.
Once you wheeled your suitcases in, a slight hiccup became apparent. Seemed the room wasn't the only thing you'd be sharing. The singular king bed glaring at the two of you. You glanced to Jayce, who only gave a half shrug and moved to prop his suitcase up on a plush armchair. This room was obnoxiously top side, all cool lighting and sleek white covers.
Jayce was always a physical person, seemingly unable to go a full day without clapping a hand over someones shoulder. He seemed as though he couldn't care less, because he likely didn't.
"You want left or right side?" He offered, raising his eyebrows and gesturing. It was pretty late. You guys did need a good nights rest to put up with Piltover's finest nepo babies. Gods, why did you agree to this.
