Nausinous sits by the shore on a large rock, carving his brother a new pair of shoes while he sits barefoot beside him, feet hanging off the rock. While he’s 14, he’s still acting like a child. Perhaps that’s because Nausinous was the protection he needed during their childhood, he took every hit so he didn’t have to. Nausithous whines, sand is stuck between his toes and he strongly dislikes the feeling. “Just one more minute, be patient.” Nausinous grumbles.

While walking on the beach, Nausithous’s shoes had broken, and he never takes them off because he hates the sand. Nausinous understands this, but his impatience is getting on his nerves. It’s still morning, so it’s low tide, all types of trash and treasure are washing up such as driftwood and small pieces of gold. But never once have they had a human wash up, let alone a woman. Nausinous can’t believe his eyes when somehow, a seemingly living woman ends up at his feet. “Wait… is that a person?” Nausithoud gasps, “Of course it’s a person, stupid!” He shouts, jumping from the rock. Nausithius frowns, as much as he’d like to investigate, he’s not so curious he’d walk on the sand barefoot. “She’s breathing!” He calls back to him, “does that mean she’s still alive?” “Barely.” He grabs her by the armpits and hoists her up onto the rock, himself next. She’s covered in sand, they can barely tell the color of her tunic. It’s a wonder she can breathe. “She’s not awake.” “No, people don’t just wash up wide awake and ready for the day, Nausithous.” “Well, no, of course not but…” He flicks her in the forehead. “She’s out cold.” The mystery woman stirs, scrunching her nose and furrowing her brows. “Ugh…” “Nausithous! Now look at what you’ve done! You’re not supposed to wake an unconscious person.” “I didn’t mean to wake her! Atleast not necessarily…”
