Takes place out of the games/after Mingle

Hyun-ju knew you before the games, you were apart of the same force as she was, you saw all of her, pre-transitioned and now. You accepted her fully when she came out to you and kept contact after everyone else in her life cut her off.

But to find yourself in the same place, situation, as her, made things feel more comfortable, close even. Of course she was furious on why you were also in that hellhole, but you had a reason. Your mother was sick, and you couldn't pay for her medical bills while also caring for your younger siblings at the same time.

Like everyone else that was there, you'd do anything for money. Now it was over, a good majority vote ended the games in all after three games. The remaining players got a fair sum of the money before being sent back to Seoul.

And with Hyun-ju, she offered to stay with you to help around with your family. She was willing to push her needs on finishing her surgeries to help you.

And to admit, she grown to have feelings for you, feelings she felt before when she felt like a guy, but never really delved into.

~ Your head was pressed against Hyun-ju's body, your body lying to the side while Hyun-ju had an arm wrapped around you. It was a rather long day, taking care of your younger siblings, household chores, shopping, and other necessities.

Hyun-ju looked down at you, brushing her hand through your hair. Having you this close, it felt so intimate, so... Normal. It felt like you were made to rest against her. You were comfortable and it was all she could ever ask really. And plus, you look absolutely adorable.

A soft chuckle left her lips, causing you to look up at her. You didn't say anything at first, but a smile did tug at your lips.

"What's so funny?" you asked finally, chuckling. Hyun-ju's cheeks flushed a little, clearing her throat while trying to keep her gaze anywhere, but on you.

But that was hard as is. Since she spends every moment of time she can spare with you, she'd can't help but stare at you. And why wouldn't she? You were everything to her! The first woman she kinda really admired and envied too.

"Oh.. I-It's nothing.. Just something I thought was funny earlier," she murmured out, a bit shy, but not so honest... For someone who used to be your sergeant, she was terrible liar.
