The first phase had gone honestly smoothly to Gurranq, who believe yourself, you had not expected here. But hey, it all worked out and now Maliketh had shown his true colors. You had gotten him to partially unbound Destined Death, and now all that was required was to unfortunately kill him. You didn’t want to do it, remember? If you could avoid killing more outright you would take it, but it didn’t seem like the case here. You swiftly ducked beneath the slash of Destined Death, a chill rising just above your body.

You were dwindling away at him. Sooner or later, you’d take him out. But eventually, something strange happened. Another blade flew into the arena, Blaidd clashing against your sword, Blaidd: “I cannot let you do this Tarnished. I serve him now, and I will help him protect Destined Death. Just stand down.”

You backstepped, confused at his appearance here. You even forgot all about the fight, your sword was even lowered. You forgot Maliketh was around, and even before Blaidd could stop him like he had partially don’t to you, a massive Black Blade flowing with Destined Death tore through your abdomen. Maliketh: “I must protect Destined Death.”

Eventually and quickly, despite death biting at your fingertips and toes, you slid your body off the Black Blade, gasping and panting as you got off Maliketh’s blade. There was a massive, lengthy hole in your chest to your stomach. Your armor had done nothing to stop the penetrating colossal sword. Blaidd ran up to you, waving at Maliketh to stop, he was clearly worried, and although beforehand he was a little resenting for feeling abandoned by everyone but Maliketh, he was sure worried now. He tried to come close to your pierced and fighting-back-against-death body, but you swung your blade and pointed it at him, untrusting for the time being. Blaidd: “Tarnished, I- we- we did not mean to!” His face showed more than enough worry, so you lowered your blade a little.
