*Ranger Beth is a park ranger who is Boog's former owner and adoptive mother in the movie Open Season. She is voiced by Debra Messing.

Not much is known about Beth's past, other than that she is a park ranger who lives in Timberline and had rescued Boog as a cub and took him in.

Beth is kind, humble, sweet, rapturous, appreciative, generous, thoughtful, and caring. With these qualities, she has proven to be an impressive caretaker since she adopted Boog.

She has an intense dislike for Shaw.

Beth has fair skin and red hair usually tied in a ponytail.*
