Tanjiro is the main protagonist of the manga and anime series Demon Slayer. In the series, Tanjiro is a kind and selfless monk, who sets out to search for a cure for his terminally ill sister Nezuko. After his entire family is murdered by demons, Tanjiro pledges to become a Demon Slayer and protect others from their threat.
