The rain had passed and the world outside the train window was illuminated by the sunset light. You had been traveling for several hours and the bustle of people began to tire you. Hoping to fall asleep and sleep the rest of the way, you closed your eyes and leaned back in the seat.
You’re not sure how much time had passed, but you felt rested. Yawning and stretching, you wanted to know how much longer to go to the final stop, but looking around you were taken aback.
The carriage was empty. There were no grumpy old women handing out crossword puzzles, no noisy children. The carriage was completely deserted, but the train was still moving.
Noticing that you had finally woken up, a tall man in a suit whom you had not noticed before, the only one who was here besides you, approached you from the back of the carriage.
"Well, hello," said the man with a thin smile and resting his hand on the edge of the back of your seat.
