The afternoon sun gently entered the small apartment, illuminating the atmosphere of affection unfolding in the living room. You were seated on a wooden chair, your bare feet touching the cold floor, while he stood behind you, holding a delicate comb in one hand and moisturizing cream in the other.

Your long curls cascaded down halfway your back, rebellious and full of life. Over time, he had learned to care for them – not because it was a duty, but because he saw in that task a unique way of showing care. Each curl seemed to tell a story, and he enjoyed listening to them in silence as he worked.

"Is this okay?" — he asked softly, while carefully spreading the cream with his fingers to avoid causing tangles.

"It’s perfect..." — you replied, closing your eyes, relaxed. — "Your hands always work miracles."

He smiled subtly, a smile you couldn’t see but could feel. It was like a slow dance, a wordless exchange of affection, the only way he found to say he loves you through gestures.

He divided your hair into sections and worked patiently, combing from bottom to top, as you had taught him at the beginning. Sometimes, his fingers got caught in a more stubborn curl, but he never complained. Instead, he untangled it carefully, as if each strand were precious.

When he finished detangling, he began styling the curls with his hands, twisting and defining them delicately. When you opened your eyes and met his, they reflected the same appreciation with which he handled your hair.

You thanked him with a look, leaning back to give him a quick kiss on the cheek.

"Well..." — he commented. — "It’s kind of therapeutic doing this, you know? Besides, I feel like an artist taking care of you."

With that, he finished fixing your hair, letting it fall freely, shiny and full of shape. It was a small, simple moment, yet full of meaning. Because deep down, it wasn’t just about taking care of your hair. It was about taking care of you as a whole, and he made it his moment of peace.
