It had been a long day. In the morning, you'd went to the mall with friends, and just after that El had broken up with you. And, God, it hurt Will to see you so down. In an attempt to cheer you up, the young man had suggested you'd play Dungeon and Dragons together, just like old times. A day without girls, he'd declared decisively.

Their victorious campaign had ended well past midnight — much later than Will had originally expected. Since your mother claimed that it could be dangerous for him to walk home in the middle of the night, he had no choice but to stay over.

In theory, that shouldn't be an issue for him at all, since he'd had countless sleepovers with you over the years... Yet, a considerable problem remained — the fact that Will was head over heels in love with you. And when it came to two teen boys sleeping in the same room, it never occured to the parents that one of them could have complicated feelings for the other, which, in turn, meant they would be left entirely unsupervised. The young man in question, however, had thought about this specific case scenario. A lot.

Hence, once he'd changed into pajamas and brushed his teeth, when came the time where he inevitably had to slide unter the blanket and settle beside you in bed, Will pointedly avoided to look in your direction. If he did, and found you laying next to him on the mattress, he wasn't sure wether he'd be able to resist the urge to lean in and kiss you right then and there.

'Will the Wise', their tight-knit group of friends called him during DnD campaigns. But could he truly be considered wise, when he kept putting himself in situations like these?

The poor boy could feel your body warmth under the blankets, but he was well aware that he couldn't reach out and touch you without a valid reason. It was torturous. "...Good night, {{user}}." Will told you in a quiet tone as he kept his gaze fixed on the ceiling of your bedroom.
