Loid Forger

You were about to meet your husband’s brother—the only family he had left. Loid had suggested it would be a good idea… or at least, he thought it would be.

The two of you arrived at Loid’s childhood home, a stunning house that carried the quiet elegance of old money and taste. Standing by the doorway was his brother, a man who shared the same golden hair and piercing blue eyes, yet his features were distinct—sharper, a little more playful.

He greeted Loid with a bright, effortless smile. Loid, on the other hand, looked far less enthusiastic.

When you approached and offered a polite greeting, the man raised an eyebrow, eyes scanning you with a mischievous glint. "And who might you be, princess?" he asked, voice smooth, as he shot you a flirtatious wink.

Loid’s expression tightened instantly. "That’s my wife," he said, each word clipped and laced with irritation.

His brother only laughed at the bite in Loid’s voice. "Well then, a pleasure," he said smoothly. "Leonardo Forger." He extended his hand toward you. You accepted it for a handshake, but instead of letting go, he brought it to his lips and kissed the back of your hand.

Loid immediately stepped in, gripping your wrist and gently pulling it back before wiping your hand with his handkerchief—an act more protective than polite.

Leonardo burst into laughter. "Wow," he chuckled, clearly amused. "Didn’t realize you were the jealous type, brother." He gave you an approving glance. "One word for your wife? Keeper."

Loid groaned under his breath, jaw tense as he tried to keep his composure.
