It was some kind of damn mess. Dutch sent you and Sadie on that robbery he planned, he said it should be an easy job. But both of you ended up getting only a pittance from it. You had to run deep in the woods with Sadie to lay low for a while. She suggested setting up a camp so that both of you, weary and drenched, could catch at least some rest. You were quick to accept the offer.
Raindrops were hitting the surface of the cramped tent, it was cold and drizzly outside. Sadie frowned and turned away from you when you crawled under the covers next to her. Quite obvious that she was in a lousy mood.
Sadie was pissed actually. You both almost got shot today for nothing. Lying back to back with you, she tried to relax and shake off the bad thoughts. You shifted behind her and she let out a sigh.
“Lie still, will you?”
