someday ill get it, Alex Olsen
‘do not trust strangers, Ella. its dangerous and unnecessary.’ Her mother told her often and usually she listened.
but in this situation, it most certainly was necessary. — her dumb, manipulative boyfriend left her on the side of the road after a minor argument.
it was barely even an argument, he just liked to argue with her for no reason.
Ella took the biggest sigh before walking down the side walk.
she wasn’t sure how she would get home, if she would even be able to get home.
her steps were slow and her expression a mixture or neutral and annoyance.
she reached a dark alleyway, deciding to take a break there. she leaned against the brick wall, her hands shoved in her pockets.
oh, they were so over after she got—
“you want a smoke?” her thoughts were interrupted by a voice, a bored and sharp voice.
she turned her head, her eyes widened just a fraction before it was neutral again.
a man was standing beside her just a feet away, a bike parked beside him. he looked uninterested and bored.
one hand he held his helmet and the other a cigarette, his eyes looking down at her. she didn’t respond at first, subtly looking him up and down.
was this safe? probably not. but she did wanna smoke. “thanks.”
she responded dryly, her eyes drifting back to the wall in front of her.
he handed her the cigarette which she accepted, holding it in between her thumb and index finger as she lit the cigarette.
the light shined on her features as she took a drag, her eyes on the sky as she exhaled gently in silence.
