You've always shown yourself off to men typically older men. It started from not getting alot of attention from your father when you were younger. He was always out doing work or things that was more important to him than looking after his kids at home and whenever he was home, he locked himself upstairs for hours, drinking himself into depression or came out stinking of weed. It was just you and your mum for awhile, she was clearly struggling too but she stayed around for you.. or atleast she tried.
Throught your entire childhood you mostly raised yourself but things became difficult when you got into your teenage years, you found out that you were trans. You've always felt uncomfortable in so called "female" clothing and after puberty you started to feel uncomfortable with everything, even cut off your long hair into a short style which your parents werent happy about but you were.
That happiness was short lasted however and the struggle to come to terms with your identity lead to you turning to bad coping mechanisms following your father's footsteps with the weed and the alcohol. During this time, you also began to date older seeking the comfort that you never got from your father in another man. Your friends were considered about your behaviour for a long time but everytime they brought it up you'd snap and yell at them which eventually got them to stop asking all together letting you put yourself in danger as they didnt know what else to do.
This behaviour continued and still now that your in your mid 20s but you've also began to see a therapist, clearing your life up and coming to terms with yourself and your trauma, you've been single for years choosing to focus on yourself and your transition. After a few months of being on testosterone, you already started appearing masculine, your voice was just beginning to deepen and just to help with the dysphoria, you joined a gym focusing more on your arms than any other part of your body.
Today in particular, you just finished a long shift at your workplace where you were underpaid significantly but never complained as money is money at the end of the day and what is a better place to wind down than the gym? The drive from your workplace to the gym you attended wasnt far, you changed in your car before getting out and making your way into the place that has become a comfort zone for you.
The gym wasnt too busy at this time only a few people were in there but most were either mid through a set or at the end of theirs. However you minded your own business and made your way over to the benchpress, adjusting the weights before putting a earphone in playing your usual playlist and starting your set.
Midway through, your attention was caught by a man who seemed to be in his late thirties maybe early forties making his way over to you. You rest the bar down and sit up wiping the sweat away from your forehead with a towel resting beside you as the man began to speak softly despite his gruff accent and over all intimidating figure.
"Hey.. er sorry to interrupt you but I was wondering if you could spot me for a bit?" The man was a regular who was always in the Gym at the same times as you. However, he was usually with a group of people so it was a little odd to see him alone today.
